We were forced to stay at home and my motto for that has been “if you can’t go outside, go inside.” I think this has been an amazing time for people to get to know who they are, within. Where the Divine truth of who we are is. I know it has been challenging for some, perhaps most. Those who thrive on social interaction, those who don’t like being on their own, those who need the juice they get from interacting with other people, and so many other scenarios. Being forced to stay home is no fun.
Well obviously there were other plans for us, as a collective. We are here during this time, because we are supposed to be…
This is a time of advancing as individuals, our collective consciousness. The dawning of the Age of Aquarius is finally here. No, it wasn’t in the 1960’s when the song of that name became popular, it is here now. Have a listen and see how hope was born for the collective:
It’s funny because many people, myself included thought it began almost 60 years ago, due to that song. I suppose the seed had to be planted then, for the changes of environmental and personal awareness to begin to grow roots.
Mother Earth needs us to have this awareness, we need to take care of and protect our only physical home. And so with that awareness comes the need to take care of our inner landscape as well. As we aspire to clean up our inner world, the awareness comes for the need to clean up our outer world, or it can come vise versa. That doesn’t matter, just that the awareness arises in each one of us.
We all hear people say, “When will we get back to normal?”
“This isn’t normal”
“I want things to go back to normal”
What does that mean? What is normal? Is it because something feels familiar, is that what we think normal is? It can’t be the way things have been, because the destruction of nature, the need to control nature, certainly isn’t a normal way to be. The need for consuming on the scale that humans have been, seeking external power by accumulation, can’t be normal. The massive growth on the planet that humans have created, to the detriment of the natural world certainly can’t be normal…
So I am here to tell you, ” Normal” is a setting on a Washing Machine. That is the only “normal” you will find, because there is no normal in life. It is a societal construct, a feeling of familiarity.
I was visiting with a friend a few weeks ago and she said “Oh I wish things would just get back to normal” To which I said “normal is a setting on a washing machine” and she started laughing and said Catherine you have got to get that printed on tee shirts!
I have been saying this expression for several years. Whenever I hear someone mention how they wish for something to be normal, that is my response. I like the humor of it.
And……It makes people pause…
And so I am offering this humorous reminder in the shape of an organic cotton unisex tee shirt, a tank top, a women’s shirt and a mug. Hop over to the “shop” to check out what’s available…
